The Smith

This venue puts an American twist on the traditional French brassiere. Located in the east village,  it is one of my favorite brunch spots in the city, although, it's a great place for pretty much anytime.

Patrons get a complimentary bottle of house filtered sparkling and flat water.  Such a great touch and I love those restauranteurs out there that are green conscious. Restaurants can really be such a wasteful business and every little bit counts.   Actually this company prides itself on using local, natural and sustainable products whenever they can.

I absolutely crave this soup which is an American twist on French onion soup.  Creamy tomato soup covered and oozing with stringy cheddar cheese.  Make sure you order it!
